Fort Worth, TX- Today, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) welcomed Speaker Pelosi to the Young Women's Leadership Academy in Fort Worth, as they took part in a discussion led by YWLA principal Tamara Albury, to highlight the school's success in inspiring and nurturing young diverse female leaders within the community. With a focus on empowering young women in math, science, and technology, the school prepares students with the academic and leadership skills they need to distinguish themselves as they aim to pursue higher education and careers in STEM fields.

President Trump's declaration of a National Emergency is not only a complete waste of taxpayer money, but it's also dead on arrival," said Congressman Veasey. "The Supreme Court will not uphold it, and Democrats will push back on this complete abuse of power as we continue to fight for our border cities and immigrant communities."
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, U.S. Congressmen Veasey (TX-33), Peters (CA-52), , McKinley (WV-01), Schweikert (AZ-6) and Congresswoman Bustos (IL-17) introduced H.R. 1166, the Utilizing Significant Emissions with Innovative Technologies (USE IT) Act, a bipartisan, bicameral bill that supports the development and demonstration of vital carbon capture and removal technologies.Senators John Barrasso (R-WY) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) introduced an identical bill in the Senate.
