Rep. Veasey Releases Statement On Trump Administration’s Continued Assault on Americans’ Health Care
WASHINGTON, DC – The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals yesterday heard oral arguments in the Texas v. United States lawsuit—the latest effort by Republicans to strike down protections for people with pre-existing conditions as well as every last benefit and protection provided by the Affordable Care Act. Rep. Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement in firm opposition to the latest assault on affordable, accessible health care:
"If the Trump administration gets its way, it would destroy protections for the more than 130 million people across our country, and over 11 million Texans living with a pre-existing condition," said Rep. Veasey. "I came to Congress to fight for the hard-working families across the district I represent and I will continue to stand strong against this administration's outrageous attempts to destroy Texans' access to affordable, quality health care."
