Dallas, TX, - Congressman Marc Veasey released the following statement on the redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report:
Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33) and Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX-16) introduced the Notario Victim Relief Act to give immigrants an opportunity to seek legal asylum status, permanent residency or protected temporary stay after falling victim to fraudulent legal representation. For many immigrants, false legal representation could mean a denial of temporary protective status or a deportation order.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, the House Energy and Commerce Committee heard testimony on H.R. 2088, a bill introduced by Rep. Greg Stanton (AZ-09) and Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33), to reauthorize and increase funding for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG).
Today Congressman Veasey issued the following statement on becoming a founding Member of the Congressional Black Maternal Health Caucus:
"Nationally, black infant mortality is more than twice as high as white infant mortality," said Rep. Veasey. "As a world leader in medical advancements, it is unconscionable that this country still has the highest maternal and infant mortality in the developed world that is disproportionately affecting black women.
Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Veasey, the founder and co-chair of the Voting Rights Caucus, hosted a voting rights panel discussion on five persistent Republican voter suppression tactics. The conversation included Rep. Marc Veasey, Rep. John Sarbanes, and leading national voting rights organizations. The panel discussion, moderated by Congressman John Lewis' policy advisor, Andrew Aydin, addressed voter suppression tactics, such as: voter purges, blocking automatic voter registration, voter intimidation, outdated voter infrastructure, and restrictive voter ID laws.
Washington, D.C. – Tomorrow, April 4th, Rep. Veasey will host a Voting Rights panel discussion on persistent voter suppression tactics in America. The conversation will include Rep. Terri Sewell, Rep. John Sarbanes, and leading national voting rights organizations. Rep. Veasey will lead the conversation on addressing Republican voter suppression tactics that target communities of color, seniors, and people with disabilities. This event is free and open to the public.
Washington, D.C.- Today, Congressman Veasey announced that Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control was awarded a $1.13B defense contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture Lot 14 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems and associated equipment in Grand Prairie, TX.

Dallas, TX- On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, VA North Texas invites all Vietnam War Veterans in North Texas to come and have their portrait taken. Veterans will also receive Vietnam Service pins in recognition of their service to our nation.

It provides funding to the United States Postal Service to cover postage for mail-in ballots in federal and local elections. This will allow voters to mail in their ballots for free.
