Congressman Veasey Secures Key Funding For Texas Defense and Aerospace Jobs In Appropriations Package

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2740, a crucial piece of a comprehensive appropriations package that will fund America's defense and military operations for the 2020 Fiscal Year. Today's package includes an amendment introduced by Congressman Veasey that guarantees an additional $9 million dollars to modernize and increase the effectiveness of the United States Army's future helicopter fleet. The Congressman's amendment would also bolster the productivity of defense and aerospace manufacturing locations in the district and create defense jobs across North Texas.
