Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey (D-TX), Ranking Member of the Science Committee's Energy Subcommittee, along with Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV) and Science Committee Ranking Member Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) introduced H.R. 5745, the Fossil Energy Research and Development Act of 2018. The bill would reauthorize research activities in the Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy and set priorities for the next generation of clean energy technologies that will help to keep the United States as the world's energy leader.
Washington, D.C.- On Monday, May 7th, Congressman Marc Veasey, (TX-33), member of the House Armed Services Committee, introduced two amendments to the FY 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would study the effects of antiquated immigration policies on military readiness: (1) requiring a report on the number of deported service members and their families, and (2) requiring a report assessing the impact of U.S. immigration policy on military recruitment, readiness, and morale.
