Pope Francis has spoken repeatedly on the global community's need to face the ‘moral challenge of migration' and Moreno is an avid advocate for the undocumented immigrant community in Texas and beyond.

Dallas, TX – On Tuesday, September 15, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will scrub in as he joins the staff of Advantage Healthcare Systems, the Dallas location of a family owned series of healthcare centers that provide occupational and physical therapy to injured workers. Rep. Veasey will be helping behind the counter, distributing initial intake paperwork to patients, and assisting with patient physical therapy to learn firsthand what it takes to help injured workers return to the workforce.

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, Thursday, September 10, 2015, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, reintroduced H.R. 3475, the Grandparents Tax Credit, to lessen the financial burden on grandparents that serve as caregivers to their grandchildren by providing a $500 refundable tax credit. This legislation aims to alleviate the out-of-pocket costs that grandparents take on when they step up to help raise their grandchildren when their parents cannot.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, announced that his office is accepting first-come-first-serve requests from residents of the 33rd Congressional District for tickets to participate in the Pope's Sept. 24 address in Washington, D.C. The address will mark the first time a pope has ever visited the Capitol and addressed a joint session of Congress.

Fort Worth, TX – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, donned a white lab coat at the Fort Worth-based global headquarters of Alcon, where he joined the assembly line to produce surgical packs for ophthalmologists worldwide and prepared eye care products for global distribution. Under the guidance of supervisors Patrick Collier and Heath Dial, Rep. Veasey learned firsthand the hard work and attention to detail necessary to produce quality American made eye care products for international distribution.
