Dallas, TX- On Thursday, April 18th, Congressman Marc Veasey got behind the wheel as an Uber driver in the DFW Metroplex as part of his Marc Means Business initiative. During his 4-hour shift, he enjoyed conversations with North Texas residents, while driving them safely to their destinations. At the end of his shift, he earned a five-star Uber rating.

The two organizations announced today a regional collaboration, which will address the need to prepare tomorrow's workforce with tangible skills and attributes necessary to excel in a classroom setting and beyond.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33) and Rep. Veronica Escobar (TX-16) introduced the Notario Victim Relief Act to give immigrants an opportunity to seek legal asylum status, permanent residency or protected temporary stay after falling victim to fraudulent legal representation. For many immigrants, false legal representation could mean a denial of temporary protective status or a deportation order.

"Nationally, black infant mortality is more than twice as high as white infant mortality," said Rep. Veasey. "As a world leader in medical advancements, it is unconscionable that this country still has the highest maternal and infant mortality in the developed world that is disproportionately affecting black women.
