WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33) has announced that he is accepting nominations for the 2014 Congressional Veteran Commendation (CVC), a program designed to honor distinguished veterans of the 33^rd congressional district of Texas and preserve their stories for future generations.

Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas— On Tuesday, August 19, 2014 U.S. Congressman Marc Veasey will spend a few hours at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport where he will get a taste of how an airline operates on the ground by working as an American Airlines baggage handler as part of his monthly Marc Means Business initiative.

Washington, D.C.—On Monday, August 11, 2014, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, traveled to McAllen, Texas to get a first-hand look at the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) operations. The McAllen CBP station has been essential in assisting with the influx of children from Central America and is responsible for patrolling 53 miles of the Rio Grande sector.

Fort Worth, Texas—This week, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will launch efforts to educate immigrants about the dangers of immigration service provider fraud starting with the FREE Workshop on Combating Notario Fraud and Immigration Clinic, on Saturday, August 16th from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Northside Community Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
