Rep. Veasey Statement Honoring Veterans Day

WASHINGTON, D.C--Today Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement commemorating Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11:

"Every year, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, Americans honor and express their appreciation for the courageous, loyal, and admirable men and women in uniform who so bravely served our country. These service members selflessly put their lives, families, and jobs on hold to defend our nation and they deserve our gratitude every day.

As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I have had the great pleasure of meeting some of the thousands of veterans living in the Metroplex. while I am incredibly priviliged to be able to serve as their congressman, I am also committed to ensuring that they are afforded the benefits and care that they deserve for all that they, and their families, have sacrificed for our freedom as Americans."
