WASHINGTON - Today, Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33) announced $33.8 million in additional grant funding from the American Rescue Plan to support the Fort Worth Trinity Metro recovery in the 33rd District of Texas from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fort Worth Trinity Metro is an essential transportation system that has maintained service throughout the pandemic across bus, paratransit, and commuter rail modes.

WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Marc Veasey (TX-33) and 12 other members of the Texas Congressional Delegation asked the Department of Justice's Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke to consider and deploy additional measures vested at the Department's Civil Rights Division to expedite its lawsuit against the State of Texas over restrictive voting tactics enforced by Texas Senate Bill 1.

WASHINGTON – Representatives Marc Veasey (TX-33), Grace Meng (NY-06), Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36), and 26 other members of Congress asked Federal Communications Commission Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel in a letter to consider making broadband consumer labels available in Spanish and Asian and Pacific Island (AAPI) languages such as Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Bengali, and other languages deemed necessary.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) today announced that as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will invest $14 billion of funding in fiscal year 2022 for over 500 projects across 52 states and territories, including $403 million dollars for the Trinity River Vision/Central City flood control project.
