For the second year in a row, Congressman Veasey is introducing a resolution to commemorate the month of May as "Health and Fitness Month." The resolution seeks to ensure that the nation takes a pledge to make healthy lifestyle choices, which leads to prosperous lives.

Dallas/Fort Worth—As the House of Representatives adjourns for District Work Period from April 9-26, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will continue his push to ensure that families in the 33^rd Congressional District have the tools and opportunities they need to “Make It In America.”

Washington D.C.—Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, released the following statement in regard to his concern for H.R. 4414, the Expatriate Health Coverage Clarification Act of 2014, legislation that would impact health coverage plan protections for millions of workers under the Affordable Care Act:

“Today, as the House of Representatives considers H.R. 4414, the Expatriate Health Coverage Clarification Act of 2014, I want to express my deep concern, as it would establish dangerous precedent under the Affordable Care Act.

[Washington, D.C.] – During Equal Pay Day on April 8, Rep. Marc Veasey, TX-33, said that more needs to be done to close the wage gap that still exists between women and men – including passage of the critical Paycheck Fairness Act. National Equal Pay Day symbolizes the point at which, more than three months into the year, women’s wages finally catch up to what men were paid in the previous year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33 released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 2575, the Sabotage American Workers Act, by a vote of 248-179:

“Four years after the Affordable Care Act was passed into law, House Republicans continue their quest to undermine and repeal a law that has already provided millions of Americans access to healthcare coverage for the first time.

Washington D.C. - On Tuesday, March 18, art pieces decorated the halls of Mountain View College as Congressman Veasey hosted the second Congressional Art Competition Reception in the 33rd Congressional District. The 2014 Congressional Art Competition drew over 61 entries from high school students across the Metroplex.
