Dallas, TX – With the March 31 deadline to sign up for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) fast approaching, Congressman Marc Veasey is joining OFA-TX and community organizers for a press conference featuring ACA success stories of Dallas-area residents. The press conference will be followed by a neighborhood canvass as OFA volunteers ramp up efforts to ensure that every uninsured Texan has access to quality, affordable health insurance.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, invites local high school students in the Metroplex to participate in the first annual congressional science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) academic competition, the House Student App Challenge. This competition is a nationwide event that showcases all participating congressional districts high school student's ingenuity in creating a software application, or "app," for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice.

Washington, D.C. – Earlier this week, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, was awarded the "2013 Leadership Award" from the Century Council, an independent not- for- profit organization. Each year the Century Council awards members of Congress who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment and leadership to fight against drunk driving and underage drinking.

The job fair is free and open to the public.
