WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey of the Energy and Commerce Committee, reintroduced the Incentivizing Medicaid Expansion Act to extend Medicaid coverage availability in the twelve states that have yet to accept Medicaid Expansion under the Affordable Care Act. Amid an unprecedented pandemic, millions of individuals in certain states are left without any healthcare coverage. Today's legislation would help close this gap and ensure Americans have access to life-saving health care coverage.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement after joining Congressman Hank Johnson's motion to censure President Trump following his attempt to intimidate Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger:

"I just want to find 11,780 votes.

Those were the words of President Trump when he pressured the Georgia secretary of state to "find" enough votes to overturn his electoral defeat in that state.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey joined his colleagues to pass the CASH Act–legislation that would increase economic impact payments to hard-hit Americans to $2,000. Today's vote comes the heels of last week's news that President Trump changed his mind on helping Americans and decided to support Democrats' longstanding call for increasing direct payments to help communities across the country.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Late last night, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) voted to pass a bipartisan COVID relief package. The relief package was included with bipartisan Appropriations bills which will fund the government through September 30, 2021. The package provides funding for vaccine distribution, more aid to small businesses, assistance for airline industry workers, expands unemployment benefits and includes critical provisions from Veasey-led legislation that will bolster affordable access to broadband.
