Washington, D.C. - Yesterday, the co-chairs of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Caucus announced strong, bipartisan support for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. The co-chairs led an appropriations and authorization request urging continued support for the F-35 program in Fiscal Year (FY) 2022. The letter emphasized the critical need to maintain course towards full rate production and an increased investment to address sustainment in order to improve readiness and repair capacity as the program continues to grow.

DALLAS, TEXAS – Today, Rep. Veasey held a virtual press conference ahead of President Joe Biden's first Presidential Address to a joint session of Congress this evening, marking 100 days into the President's term. Rep. Veasey was joined at the press conference by Mr. Kenneth Day from Dallas. Mr. Day currently serves as the president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1338 in Dallas. Before holding various leadership roles at the ATU, Mr. Day spent nearly 25 years as a bus driver working across the Metroplex.

Earlier this week, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) sent a letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) asking for more information about the rollout of federally operated mobile COVID-19 vaccination units and urged the expansion of mobile vaccination units in North Texas. The state of Texas currently ranks 45th nationally in terms of the overall percentage of its population fully vaccinated and continues to show up in the lower half of some national rankings that have measured states' progress toward reaching herd immunity against the coronavirus.
