Washington, D.C. – Congressman Marc Veasey, joined by several of his colleagues, sent a letter today to Ethics Committee Chairman Mike Guest and Ranking Member Susan Wild, urging the immediate release of the Ethics Committee’s report on former Congressman Matt Gaetz. This call comes as a reaction to Gaetz's recent nomination to serve as Attorney General of the United States.

FORT WORTH — Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) joined Texas Congressional Democrats and members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in a letter urging the U.S. Department of Justice to pursue legal action to prevent the enforcement of Texas Senate Bill 4 (SB 4), an unconstitutional and dangerous bill that would authorize state law enforcement and judicial authorities to obstruct federal immigration law.

WASHINGTON – Rep. Veasey (D-TX) introduced the Holding Accountable Russian Mercenaries (HARM) Act, bipartisan legislation that would require the Secretary of State to designate the Russian-based PMC Wagner Group as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO). Along with Veasey, Representatives Steve Cohen (D-TN), Joe Wilson (R-SC), and Richard Hudson (R-NC) are original sponsors of the bill. Senators Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Ben Cardin (D-MD) are original sponsors of companion legislation in the U.S. Senate.
