Congressman Veasey Calls Bullshit on Trump's EO Freezing Funds
Trump is Playing for TV, Has No Real Solutions
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Marc Veasey, Vice Chair of the New Democrat Coalition and Representative for Texas’ 33rd Congressional District, has released the following statement after news that President Trump had unconstitutionally frozen federal grants and funds:
“I call bullshit! President Trump has no real solutions for lowering costs for families, and he’s just making noise to serve up some red meat,” said Congressman Veasey. “Congress has already allocated funds and grants to provide essential community services. If President Trump wants to find ways to cut unnecessary spending and lower costs — we’re right here. Work with us. In the meantime, stop messing with our veterans, our hospitals and our kids’ education.”
