WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution (H.Res 826) led by Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) that expresses disapproval of the Trump Administration’s illegal Medicaid block grant plan, a plan inviting states to cap and slash the Medicaid program. This harmful plan would essentially allow states to receive a waiver to block grant their Medicaid programs for certain low-income Medicaid recipients, and have the impact of weakening the entire program and pushing Medicaid recipients off their much-needed, life-saving health care coverage.
