WASHINGTON, D.C. –Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, released the following statement in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday:
"Today, we gather with family and friends to celebrate the American tradition of giving thanks and reflect on the blessings of the past year. As we join together at our Thanksgiving tables, we remember those who may be less fortunate and recommit ourselves to working on their behalf. It is an honor to represent the 33rd Congressional District and I wish a happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the DFW Metroplex."
WASHINGTON, D.C. –Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, released the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 4038, the American SAFE Act of 2015, a bill that would not end the current refugee resettlement program, but requires the directors of federal agencies to now certify the vetting process:
"Since yesterday's vote, there has been misunderstanding about the content of the American SAFE Act and what it means for America's position as the leader of democracy and human rights in the world.
Rep. Marc Veasey recently honored two veterans who served in Asian wars. At his Fort Worth office, Veasey presented Delton Dale Parker of Fort Worth with medals he earned with the Navy from 1952 to 1955 during the Korean War. Parker received the Navy Good Conduct Medal, China Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars, the United Nations Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal.

Fort Worth/Dallas, TX –This Friday, November 20, 2015 Congressman Marc Veasey will host his FREE Annual Job Fair from 8:30 AM to noon at the Forest Hill Civic & Convention Center located at 6901 Wichita Street in Forest Hill, Texas.

The program was designed to recognize wartime sacrifices and peacetime community involvement of the veterans of the 33rd Congressional District of Texas, Hines said.
