Veasey is an original co-sponsor of H.R. 1010, The Fair Minimum Wage Act, which would raise the minimum wage from its current rate of $7.25 to $10.10.

"I am proud that the House has put partisanship aside to consider stop-gap transportation funding that will prevent our Highway and Transit Trust Fund from running out of important funds next month and extend federal highway and public transportation programs through May of next year.
