This legislation cuts back on unlawful robocalls and telephone scams by empowering DOJ and the FCC to take action against criminal robocallers as well as requiring that carriers offer call-authentication technology that will help consumers and small businesses across our country at no additional charge, so that Americans can regain trust that the number on their caller-ID is correct.

Congressman Veasey’s Partnerships for the Future Act would direct the Department of Labor to create a competitive grant pilot program to provide additional tools for educating and training our workforce to thrive in the 21st century workforce.

Congressman recognizes Townview Business students for creating innovative app
Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, recently honored 10 talented Townview School of Business and Management students during the annual Congressional App Challenge reception at El Centro Community College.
Dallas, TX – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, honored nine talented Townview School of Business and Management students during the annual Congressional App Challenge reception at El Centro Community College in Dallas, TX. Raymond Hernandez, Cesar Escobedo and Lisette Benavides composed the winning “Dark Matter” team that created the innovative app, “Accountability Tracker”. The app was developed to help other students establish and track personal and professional goals. The winning app will be displayed in a U.S. Capitol exhibit for a year.
Dallas, TX – Yesterday, Congressman Veasey left his suit and tie behind to join the furniture assembly team at Gulfstream Aerospace’s Dallas Love-Field service site. During his workday, Veasey sanded wood for conference tables, assembled furniture, and learned firsthand about the business aviation industry.
To mark the occasion and provide information for Fort Worth businesses, top officials from the Patent and Trademark Office will be at TECH Fort Worth on Tuesday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Speakers will include Russell Slifer, deputy director of the patent office; Drew Hirshfeld, commissioner for patents; U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey, D- Fort Worth; and Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price. TECH Fort Worth is housed at the Guinn Entrepreneurial Complex, 1120 South Freeway.
