WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) voted to pass H.R. 4617, the Stopping Harmful Interference in Elections for a Lasting Democracy (SHIELD) Act. This strong, commonsense legislation takes bipartisan steps to fight foreign interference in our elections by strengthening reporting requirements, closing loopholes and deterring foreign activity in U.S. elections.
Washington, D.C. – On the heels of National Voter Registration Day, Congressman Veasey today led a letter with the entire Texas Democratic Delegation in demanding information about the state of Texas' efforts to address any vulnerabilities in the state's election infrastructure and general administration in advance of the 2020 election cycle.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2740, a crucial piece of a comprehensive appropriations package that will fund America's defense and military operations for the 2020 Fiscal Year. Today's package includes an amendment introduced by Congressman Veasey that guarantees an additional $9 million dollars to modernize and increase the effectiveness of the United States Army's future helicopter fleet.
