Dallas, Texas — Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) releases the following statement on the death of a detainee at the ICE Processing Center: Today, I learned of the tragic death of Mohammed Nazeer Paktiawal—an Afghan father who once served alongside the United States—after he was held at the ICE Processing Center in Dallas. No family should ever have to learn that their loved one died while in government custody. Mr. Paktiawal’s death raises serious and urgent questions that demand immediate answers.

The Affordable Care Act’s Premium Tax Credit was created under Obamacare, and expanded after COVID under President Biden’s American Rescue Plan Act.
