Washington, D.C. – In an effort to protect our nation’s DREAMers in the event of a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program backlog, Congressman Marc Veasey introduced H.R. 6495, the Ensure Access to DACA Act.

Washington, D.C. –Today,Congressman Marc Veasey introduced H.R. 6456, End the Backlog Act, which would address the immigration judge shortage by freezing funding for Customs and Border Protection and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement until the funding for the immigration court system is increased.

Washington, D.C. –Today, Congressman Marc Veasey introduced H.R. 6329, The Promise of Citizenship Act, that will make naturalized U.S. citizenship more affordable for green card holders. This legislationwill reduce the out of pocket costs of successfully applying for U.S. citizenship by providing a $500 refundable tax credit for newly naturalized citizens.

“Today’s decision from the Supreme Court’s Immigration Executive Actions on expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA), is a major blow to the millions of immigrant undocumented families who continue to live in the shadows.
