WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressmen Marc Veasey (TX-33) and Kevin Hern (OK-01) of the House Committee on Small Business introduced bipartisan legislation that will mitigate the effects of sudden growth, protecting small businesses from being prematurely forced out of the small business category. Moreover, this legislation would grant small businesses additional time to transition before competing in the open market.
"I believe the work of our military, and the sacrifices their families make on behalf of our country, deserve our continued support. That is why in February, I introduced a bill that would prohibit the expenditure of millions of taxpayer dollars on President Trump’s frivolous exercise. A better use of those resources, would be for this Administration to work with Congress to provide additional support for our military families, ease the transition to civilian life, and assist in operations at the Department of Veteran Affairs,” said Congressman Veasey.

Fort Worth, Texas – On Friday, November 10, 2017, Congressman Marc Veasey will honor eight local veterans with the Congressional Veteran Commendation at his annual Veterans Town Hall from 5-7 PM at American Legion Post 275 in Dallas. Recipients of the award include: Ms. Castella Combs, Ms. Tynetta W. Runnels, Mrs. Tristeza Ordex-Ramirez, Mr. Jonathan Saenz, Mr. Herman Henderson Jr., Mr. Raymond Rivera, Mr. Rogerio Perez, and Mr. Ollis Donald Chalmers.
