Washington, D.C.—Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, issued the following statement after voting against H.R. 3134, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act and H.R. 3504, the Adding Criminal Penalties for Violating the Born Alive Act, a series of House Republican bills that attack critical health care services for women:
Dallas, TX – On Tuesday, September 15, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will scrub in as he joins the staff of Advantage Healthcare Systems, the Dallas location of a family owned series of healthcare centers that provide occupational and physical therapy to injured workers. Rep. Veasey will be helping behind the counter, distributing initial intake paperwork to patients, and assisting with patient physical therapy to learn firsthand what it takes to help injured workers return to the workforce.
