Washington, D.C. – Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will hold a panel discussion in observation of Black History Month entitled, "Closing the Gap: African Americans in Energy." The panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities for African Americans in the energy sector. Additionally, the discussion seeks to educate Members, staffers, stakeholders and students pursuing STEM degrees or jobs in the energy industry, examine current energy policy issues and offer an outlook for the 115th Congress.

Cody Edwards thought he had landed his dream job. The Irving man was so excited to move to Port Aransas on New Year's Eve with his pregnant wife to start a new job at the Padre Island National Seashore, also known as PINS, on Jan. 8.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, introduced H.R. 6064, the Partnerships for the Future Act, to better train students in well-paying jobs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Congressman Veasey’s Partnerships for the Future Act would direct the Department of Labor to create a competitive grant pilot program to provide additional tools for educating and training our workforce to thrive in the 21st century workforce.
