MEDIA ADVISORY: Congressman Veasey to Clock-In at Local Irving Eatery

November 18, 2016

Rep. Veasey will work at Irving’s Joe’s Coffee Shop as part of his November “Marc Means Business” initiative

IRVING, TX – On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, Congressman Marc Veasey will join the team of Joe’s Coffee Shop for his November “Marc Means Business” work day. As part of his work day, Veasey will roll-up his sleeves and assist the local Irving eatery as they prepare all of the Thanksgiving holiday pie orders, greet and serve customers, bus tables, and learn how the 46 year old small business continues to thrive.

Since March 2014, Veasey has worked at a different job in his district each month, learning firsthand about the diverse range of businesses in the 33rd Congressional District of Texas. Veasey has worked behind the scenes at a Six Flags Over Texas, a local tire shop, waste management service, and a Quinceñera shop. The Marc Means Business constituent outreach series connects Veasey with residents at their place of employment to better understand the challenges they face in their work and daily lives.
