DALLAS - Congressman Marc Veasey, Texas' 33rd Congressional District, and Brig. Gen. Thomas Kula of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Southwestern Division, visited Hector P. Garcia Middle School students Feb. 21 to engage, motivate and inspire youth to pursue a field in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Texas officials have begun interviewing candidates for the position of state seismologist, Texas Railroad Commissioner David Porter said Wednesday.
