Dallas, Texas— As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we honor our service members, like Mr. Marcos Torres, who selflessly took the oath to defend our nation. Surrounded by friends and family, Congressman Veasey presented Mr. Marcos Torres with the Purple Heart and additional medals he earned during his service in the United States Army from 1948-1951, and during the Korean War.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, introduced H.R. 5304, the Health Expansion Loss Prevention (HELP) Veterans Act to extend the six months of healthcare and dental coverage provided to our service members released from active duty under the Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) to one full year of coverage.

Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas— On Sunday, November 8, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will present Dr. Norman Robinson, a 94 year old World War II Veteran, with his restored Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with Bronze Service Star for his service in the United States Army Air Force. Veasey's office helped Dr. Robinson obtain his medals by contacting the appropriate federal agencies.
