U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Fort Worth, is hosting a 33rd Congressional District Job Fair from 8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 24 at the Tarrant County Resource Connection Conference Center, 2300 Circle Drive in Fort Worth.
WASHINGTON – Rep. Marc Veasey, TX-33 joined 48 Freshman House Democrats led by Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), this week in urging Speaker of the House John Boehner (OH-8) to schedule an immediate vote to extend emergency unemployment insurance for 1.3 million Americans who lost their benefits due to congressional inaction at the end of the year.
WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Veasey, TX-33, issued the following statement after the Senate voted to begin consideration of a bipartisan three-month extension of unemployment insurance (S. 1845) on a vote of 60 to 37:

This event is part of Rep. Veasey's efforts to create jobs and rebuild the economy. The free job fair will connect dozens of employers with hundreds of job seekers in the Metroplex region and will feature workshops on topics such as networking, and writing resumes.
