The legislation authorizes $732 billion in discretionary spending for our national defense for FY 2021 and passed the House by a bipartisan vote of 335 to 78.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Coming on the heels of last month's vote on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021, Congressman Veasey (TX-33) introduced the Diversity in Leadership Act—legislation establish a grant program in the Department of Defense to increase the number of women, LGBT individuals, and underrepresented minorities in military and civilian leadership positions of the Department of Defense.
