"As a father and co-founder of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus, I am deeply concerned that the Chinese Communist Party is using TikTok's platform to influence public opinion—especially for young and new voters—and undermine the integrity of our democratic elections," said Representative Veasey. "I remain committed to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to enact federal privacy legislation that counters malicious campaigns of any kind that continue to thrive on this platform."
