Veasey Discusses His “Made in America” Amendment for Keystone Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, U.S. Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, took the floor to discuss his “Buy America” amendment that would have ensured materials utilized to build the Keystone XL pipeline are made in America. Congressman Veasey submitted his amendment during a hearing of the House Rules Committee, but it was not accepted. The House Rules Committee governs what legislation comes to the full House of Representatives to be voted on by all Members of Congress.
