Veasey Statement on the Retirement of Congresswoman Kay Granger

WASHINGTON – Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement on Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX-12) announcing her retirement at the end of the term: 

“Congresswoman Kay Granger has spent decades serving as a trailblazer and a fierce advocate for her constituents here in North Texas. From the beginning of her political career on the Fort Worth Zoning Commission to her time as the first female Mayor of Fort Worth to now serving as the first female Republican Appropriations Chair, she has always led with passion.

“Despite our policy differences, I am incredibly proud to work alongside her to deliver results on a number of key priorities for our shared hometown of Fort Worth. I am grateful to call her a friend, and I wish her all the best in this new chapter.”
