Veasey Statement on the Passing of Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson

FORT WORTH - Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement about the passing of Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX-30):

“North Texas and our nation mourn the loss of Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson. Congresswoman Johnson was a trailblazer, friend, and mentor to many, including myself.  

“For decades, she served North Texans and became an unmatched leader in Congress on many issues, including science and transportation. I am deeply saddened by her passing and praying for her loved ones during this time. I am honored to have served alongside her and hope to continue to build on her extraordinary legacy.”
