Veasey Statement on Passing of Congressman Ron Wright

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) issued the following statement on the passing of North Texas Congressman Ron Wright (TX-06):

"I am greatly saddened to hear of Congressman Ron Wright's passing. Ron was a colleague and a very dedicated public servant for the people of North Texas. I had the privilege of first meeting Ron many years ago when both of us served as congressional staffers working for two former Texas Congressional members and since then I have had the opportunity to work alongside him when he served in local government, and then most recently as a fellow member of the U.S. House of Representatives serving a district that is close to mine.

"While we had very different views on many things, he was a man who fought for what he believed in and had a passion for serving the people of Texas' 6th district in Congress. I am praying for his wife, children, grandchildren, and his dedicated congressional staff during this time."
