Reps. Veasey and Johnson to Participate in Local ACA Townhall

DALLAS, TX – Today, August 19th, Representative Marc Veasey (TX-33) and Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX-30) will participate as special guests in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Health Braintrust’s “Making Good Health MY Reality” tour.

The day-long event will include sessions on navigating Medicaid and the Health Insurance exchanges, understanding how Community Health Centers meet the health and healthcare needs of underserved communities and on helping small business owners and employees understand the impact the Affordable Care Act will have on employee coverage. The day starts with a community health screening fair where patients will receive free, on-site, health screenings from certified health care providers. This event is free and open to the public.
