Rep. Veasey to Present Purple Heart to Local Korean War Veteran

Dallas, Texas— On Wednesday, June 29, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will present a local DFW veteran with his restored medals, including a Purple Heart, in honor of his service in the Korean War.
Congressman Veasey will present Mr. Marcos Torres with medals he earned during his service in the United States Army from 1948-1951, and during the Korean War. Mr. Torres will receive the Purple Heart, the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars, Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, and the United Nations Service Medal.
