Rep. Veasey Clocks in at Amazon’s Fulfillment Center

As part of his Marc Means Business work day, Congressman Veasey helped fulfill customer orders for families across the U.S., including the Metroplex.

Fort Worth, Texas – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey picked and packed customer orders at Amazon's fulfillment center in Fort Worth. Led by general manager Tony Vozzolo, Rep. Veasey geared up and headed to the operations floor, where he worked alongside Amazon associates, processing orders for customers across North Texas and beyond.

"One of my top priorities in Congress is to ensure that DFW's economy continues to grow and North Texans have access to good jobs and fair wages," said Congressman Veasey."Amazon is filling a vital role in the Alliance Corridor and North Fort Worth's economy by providing thousands of jobs for workers across the Metroplex."

Congressman Veasey had the opportunity to meet with the fulfilment center's operation leaders and associates, and was trained on Amazon's fulfillment processes, including processing orders for items such as books, household items, and toys.

Since March 2014, Veasey has clocked-in at over 50 small and large businesses across the DFW Metroplex. Rep. Veasey's Marc Means Business initiative provides an opportunity for the Congressman to see firsthand the challenges hard working Texans face in their work and day-to-day lives.

We're especially proud to offer good jobs with competitive pay, good benefits and innovative programs like Career Choice, where Amazon will pre-pay up to 95 percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields."
