Rep. Veasey Announces $1.13B in Defense Contract for Lockheed Martin Facility in Grand Prairie
Washington, D.C.- Today, Congressman Veasey announced that Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control was awarded a $1.13B defense contract from the U.S. Army to manufacture Lot 14 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems and associated equipment in Grand Prairie, TX.
“This contract is great news for our local economy in Dallas-Fort Worth and for the men and women who work on engineering these rockets in Grand Prairie,” said Congressman Marc Veasey. “The excellent performance of the GMLR contributes to a strong demand for this rocket both at home and with our NATO allies abroad. I’m glad Grand Prairie is part of the growth of the GMLR program that strengthens our national defense and the Texas economy.”
