Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) Statement on the Hostage Situation at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville

FORT WORTH – Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33) released the following statement on the hostage situation at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas:

"I am grateful for the safe release of Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and all of the congregants at Congregation Beth Israel in #Colleyville. My heart goes out to the Rabbi, his family, the congregants, and our brave law enforcement who had to endure that ordeal.

"There is more we will learn in the days ahead about the motivations of the hostage-taker. But let me be clear to anyone who intends to spread hate—we will stand against anti-Semitism and continue our work to ensure that all Texans can practice their religions safely and freely."
