MEDIA ALERT: Congressman Veasey to Work Local Metroplex Delivery Route
Veasey will deliver Ben E. Keith Beverages in Fort Worth as part of his “Marc Means Business” initiative
FORT WORTH, TX – On Friday, April 24, 2015 Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will be clocking in during the early morning hours to deliver beverages for the Ben E. Keith Company. As part of his ‘Marc Means Business' workday, Congressman Veasey will be delivering products to local restaurants, grocery stores, and venues throughout the city of Fort Worth and Historic Stockyards.
Since March 2014, Veasey has spent a day each month working at a different job in his district. He has worked at Home Depot, worked as a grocery bagger at Kroger, and worked the assembly line at Lasko Products. The Marc Means Business series connects Veasey with constituents at their place of employment to better understand the challenges they face in their work and daily lives.
The Ben E. Keith Company is the 8th largest broad line food service distributor and fourth largest beverage distributor in the United States and has serviced Texas businesses for more than 100 years.
