Media Advisory: U.S. Congressman Veasey Hosts Teen Summit to Prepare DFW Students for Post-High School Success
Arlington, TX – On Friday, April 1, 2016, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will host his FREE annual Teen Summit and Job Fair from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bob Duncan Center located at 2800 S. Center Street in Arlington, Texas.
The annual event will offer students the opportunity to learn about a range of resources to prepare for higher education, apply for military service, or join the workforce after graduating high school.
Congressman Veasey is pleased to welcome area students to learn about financial aid and the college admissions process, attend a post-graduate panel about the diversity of careers in the Metroplex, participate in a financial wellness workshop, and prepare for summer internship and job interviews. The summit will conclude with a job fair where students can meet face-to-face with employers and organizations hiring for summer jobs and internships.
