MEDIA ADVISORY: Congressman Veasey Meets with Oak Cliff Cancer Survivor, before State of the Union to discuss ACA Success, Efforts to Expand Healthcare Enrollment in Texas

Washington, D.C. – Members of the press are invited to join Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, and constituent, Jason Roberts, the founder of the Oak Cliff Transit Authority, originator of the Better Block Project and co-founder of Bike Friendly Oak Cliff. After an exhausting battle with testicular cancer last year, Jason is one of millions of Americans who has benefited from Affordable Care Act.

Before joining Congressman Veasey for the State of the Union Address, Jason will meet with the Congressman to discuss and strategize how to encourage the community to secure quality affordable healthcare under the Affordable Care Act.

Congressman Marc Veasey represents Texas Congressional District 33, which contains roughly 265,000 uninsured citizens, the highest number of uninsured in any Congressional District nationally. Congressman Veasey continues to work tirelessly to educate the community on its healthcare options and getting individuals enrolled.
