Congressman Veasey Works at Local Airbus Manufacturing Plant
Grand Prairie, TX – On Friday, November 17, 2017, Congressman Marc Veasey will roll up his sleeves to work on the production team at Airbus Helicopters Inc. in Grand Prairie, Texas. As part of Veasey’s continued focus to bring jobs to the DFW Metroplex, Veasey will work at the prominent manufacturing plant’s production line, conduct quality assurance, and participate in a flight test (weather permitting). Media is invited to attend.
Airbus is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry consistently designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a global scale. Airbus’ Grand Prairie facility employs over 500 full-time employees with veterans representing approximately 40 percent of their workforce.
Since March 2014, Veasey has worked at over 40 different places of employment within his district, learning firsthand about the diverse range of businesses contributing to the 33rd Congressional District of Texas’ economy. Since beginning his constituent outreach initiative, Veasey has worked alongside employees representing a range of industries such as serving as a barista at a local Starbucks Coffee, working at a Frito-Lay plant, and bearing the Texas heat to work alongside the crew of AT&T Landscaping.
