Congressman Veasey (TX-33) Announces House Passage of Over $13.5 Million in Key Community Project Funding for North Texas

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) announced that he secured the inclusion of over $13.5 million for several Community Funding Projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as part of the House passage of the Minibus, H.R. 4502, FY 2022 Seven-Bill Appropriations Minibus.

"It is an honor to serve the people of the 33rd District of Texas in Congress and secure this key funding for these critical projects," said Congressman Marc Veasey. "These projects will help revitalize and provide opportunities for communities across the Metroplex. I urge the Senate to follow our lead and pass this bill to ensure that we receive the necessary federal funding to set up communities across our country for continued success."

This funding will make a critical difference in the lives of people in the 33rd District of Texas by updating our community's infrastructure and resources. Congressman Veasey secured funding for the projects below:

- $850,000 for pediatric mental health innovation center at Children's Health System in Dallas, Texas
- $900,000 for mental health provider coverage services for Children's Health System in Dallas, Texas
- $833,000 for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) smart bus technology initiative
- $5,000,000 for snow and ice removal equipment for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
- $2,430,055 for revitalization of the Eastside YMCA Community Center in Fort Worth, Texas
- $414,000 for youth revitalization programs for the city of Everman, Texas
- $3,000,000 for 1012 N. Main Street transformation project in Fort Worth, Texas
- $100,000 for United Way of Tarrant County's VITA program which provides free income tax assistance
- $25,000 for United Way of Tarrant County's work with the Texas Veterans Network
