Co-sponsors H.Res. 606 to recognize the month of June as “Immigrant Heritage Month”

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, announced joined as an original co-sponsor of, H.Res. 606, introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by The Honorable Linda Sánchez (CA-38), recognizing the month of June as Immigrant Heritage Month in honor of the accomplishments and role of immigrants in shaping the history and culture of the United States.

"America's diversity is one of the most enduring qualities that make our country unique," said Congressman Veasey. "As a nation of immigrants, the American Dream has always been about building a better life for yourself and your family and striving for success. I encourage all of us to take a moment, this month, to remember our nation's past, present, and future."

During the month of June, members of Congress will pause to remember our American values, rooted in the American Dream.
