"Reinvigorating our manufacturing sector is the best way to create jobs that sustain and grow our middle-class, "said Congressman Veasey. "I truly believe that when we invest in training and programs that train workers – especially our youth, minorities and women – we can prepare our workforce for jobs of the future so that America can continue to compete and succeed."
Congressman Veasey remains committed to strengthening the American economy by supporting the middle class in order to spur job growth in the 33rd Congressional District. Last month, Congressman Veasey toured local businesses, manufacturing facilities, and workforce development centers as part of his "Make it in America" tour. He will continue to push efforts that ensure families in the 33rd Congressional District have the tools and opportunities they need to "Make It In America."
