North Texas Small Businesses Asked to Share Experiences with PPP, EIDL

FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- Representative Marc Veasey (TX-33) today launched a survey for small businesses in Texas' 33rd District to share their experiences with the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) and Grants. The data from this survey will be used for constituent outreach to small business owners across the district.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our North Texas economy and we need to be focused on keeping them afloat during these uncertain times," said Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33). "Every day, my team and I hear from small businesses across our district who are frustrated and uncertain of their ability to get support from the PPP and EIDL programs. That is why we launched this survey to collect additional information from our small businesses on what the process has been like on the ground in Texas, the major roadblocks to accessing loans, and what suggestions small businesses have to improve the programs. I encourage the community to share their experiences with us so we can use this data to better serve our small businesses struggling in the face of this crisis."

This survey comes on the heels of Congressman Veasey's vote to pass the Heroes Act last week, legislation that will continue to give relief to workers and small businesses by strengthening the Payroll Protection Program to ensure that it reaches underserved communities, ensuring new payroll protection measures to keep 60 million workers connected with their jobs and extending weekly $600 federal unemployment payments through next January.
