Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) Applauds Creation of New State of the Art Gulfstream Facility
New $35 Million Fort Worth Facility Will Provide Exceptional Customer Service to Users
FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Today, Congressman Marc Veasey applauded the announcement that Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. is making a more than $35 million investment to create a state of the art facility in Fort Worth that will allow it to provide exceptional customer service to users. The project will include construction of a modern, purpose-designed maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility at the Alliance Airport in Fort Worth and will result in the creation of 50 new North Texas jobs.
"The aerospace aviation industry is critical to our Texas economy employing over 100,000 Texans," said Congressman Marc Veasey. "I am proud of this announcement by Gulfstream because it will help our state continue to lead in this industry and underscores the important role of this industry in North Texas."
Gulfstream was the first civilian aircraft manufacturer to develop an enhanced vision system. The infrared-assisted vision system changed the way pilots fly at night and in obscured-vision situations. Gulfstream advancements have also included a synthetic vision terrain mapping system, the first in-flight high-speed Internet access and an in-flight computerized monitoring system that notifies technicians when service is due.
